Question Problems goto.

Hey,
When I bought my first M zero a few years ago, the software didn't need any other software to do a star alignment.
Now with the new software with my new M zero you need a second software for a star alignment (skysafari ,carte du ciel)
Is it not possible to run the old software on the stargo? Because my star alignment now I have a lot of problems with it, I use sky Safari and I can't find my objects via the goto.

Are you only observing visual, or do you have a camera attached? With a camera you should be able to plate solve without need to perform star alignment.

I'll give that a try but will it work with a dslr?
What I do want to know about Avalon is that I can reinstall the old software.

Yes, the camera doesn't make much difference, as long as the software you use with it supports plate solving. I use N.I.N.A. for imaging, and plate solving.

You don’t need Polaris to polar align, nor do you need any manual Star alignment. If you have a view to the south and a camera on your telescope you can use PHD2 drift alignment for polar aligning and you can use plate solving in NINA, or SharpCap, or any other Astro imaging software to align your telescope with the sky.
