As you requested I have done a sky test after new installation of firmware. I am still seeing the tracking rate that caused G11 mount to advance much quicker than sidereal rate. You have confirmed 1 minute for the pinon of motor to make one rotation. I confirm I have installed HQ 1440 Mount Configuration and appropriate 6.4.0 firmware. I measure the large gear turning the worm shaft (UNDER LOAD) to at nominally 2 minutes as measured by tape strip and visual observation. This rotation is consistent over multiple worm cycles.
IS TWO MINUTES what I should be seeing?
I have tried reversing RA and get somewhat less drift in opposite direction. the drift is worse than no tracking at all. If I can confirm 2 minutes is correct on the large pulley turning the worm and that variation less than a second could not explain such dramatic observation error I will confine my investigation to the mount itself. I have observed same performance east and West of pier. Thanks! ( Sorry for duplication I am starting a new thread since the old one was closed solved)
