m-due with heavy telescope was created by c.granwehr@bluewin.ch
I want to use my 15kg heavy RC with the m-due. Because the camera (asi 2600: 1kg) the filter wheel (zwo 2": 700g with filters) and the off axis guider needed backfocus and the weight the only solution I found, was to put the arm at the lowest position possible as you can see on the attached photo. Can you confirm that my assembling is correct? This way it is still possible to rotate 360 on both, the RA and DEX axis.

From what we see by the picture provided, it seems that the telescopes can freely rotate on both axis, so, if a good balancement has been achieved, then the assembling is correct.

Just take care about the cabling, keep in mind that is important to avoid cable stretching, since this it can be dangerous.

Best regards

Thank you for your quick answer. The m-due is my first mount from avalon and I was very unsecure about fixing the hevy telescope on it. Yes, the scope can move free 360° in both axis. By the way an incredible piece of craftsmanship.
