m-due: star alignment was created by c.granwehr@bluewin.ch
Until I got my m-due, I used ioptron mounts. There I had to do a 1-3 star alignment after polar alignment. In the documentation I don't find anything about start alignment. So I guess no alignment is needed at all. When I slew to a star with sky safari, the mount moves to a position more than 4° away from the correct direction (telrad). I click on align in sky safari to sync mount and software. That works. But when I slew to another star for example 20° away from the synced position, m-due has again a big offset. What am I missing?

Hello

At the moment there is not such function designed for the StarGo2 Pro, since, this controller, being based on the Raspberry Pi4, has been designed around softwares as K-Stars, N.I.N.A, SGP etc. that
that use efficient, accurate and reliable feature as the Plate Solve function.

However, in the future a multistar pointing may be also developed for the StarGo2 Pro and, considering that this is a Linux Raspeberry Pi4 based system, such tool may be also easily developed by the open community.

Hello Stefano

Thanks again for your quick answer. As I am a avalon beginner, I tend to use my experience with other mounts. I check the plate solving with your proposed apps.
