M-Uno Stiff DEC axis was created by Phil
I purchased a pre-owned M-Uno and notice that the DEC axis, when rotated, has areas where there is some stiction.  I've not tried imaging with the mount yet but wonder if the needle bearings may need to be replaced.  Or, if there is some other adjustment for this.

Thanks,

-Phil

A stiff point in the DEC axis with the clutch released is something that shouldn't affect at all the mount performance.
Please consider that when the clutch is engaged the stiff point become inconsistent because the DEC flange get engaged with the axis, in this status they rotate together.

Hi. My M-UNO is now about two years old and shows this behavior occasionally. It depends a little bit on outside temperatures.

This worried me a bit, too.

Guiding is still perfect. I have typically rms values between 0.7” and 1” with my RC10 and an OAG with PHD2.
