Building multi-star model was created by zubiriman
The StarGo manual seems to imply that the plate-solving method described in Sec. A2.5 is needed to build a multi-star model. But on p. 63, discussing SkySafari, it says ""Wnen the 'Multi Star' is checked in the StarGo...and therefore the multi-star modeling is enabled, the first and each successive sync, up to 24, contributes to building the model." This seems to mean that the multi-star model can be created by the usual method, i.e., slewing to a target, centering it, and then doing a sync. Is that correct?

Hello

In the A2.5 section is described the method to build a Sky Model with the X-solver, a tool that comes with the StarGo that allow to use the Plate solve function.

With this tool is also possible to build a Sky Model, store it and use in future sessions.

However, when the MULTISTAR option inside the StarGo.exe is selected, is possible also to proceed with the multi star alignment (up to 24 stars), “manually”, in the way described in your previous post (slew to target -> center -> sync), allowing to increase the pointing accuracy Sync after Sync.

Best regards
