The first control that you can perform is to check if the O.S. is still able to assign a COM PORT to the StarGo. This check is pretty easy to carry on, the procedure is shown in the video tutorial linked below. This procedure must be performed with the StarGo powered on and connected via USB to the PC.
If the operative system is still able to assign a com port to the board, even if the StarGo led doesn't blink anymore, the unit may be still "alive".
In this case you can try to reload the firmware as shown the video tutorial available at this link. This procedure must be performed with the StarGo powered on and connected via USB to the PC as well.

If you can establish a connection and reload the firmware, the board was probably only apparently "dead" and at the end of the procedure the red link will start to blink again.
In case you cannot establish a connection with the StarGo, you can try to replace the 3A fuse circled in orange in the attached picture.
