I know that the Avalon mounts (M-Zero and M-Uno at least) can operate on 12 volts to 16 or 18 volts with the provided power supply. I am wondering if I can power the mount using a 12V to 19V boost converter without any problem as I am operating my observatory on 12 volts batteries, with solar panels for keeping them charged. I know I could use the power supply from Avalon, running on 12V, but I find the unit somewhat bulky. I am looking for something like the one pictured below.

Thanks for your help.

I finally decided to print a holder for the Avalon power supply and install it where the polar alignment scope bracket is (side of the mount arm). Worked better than expected and it helps balance the mount and scope.
